Clean Origin's own pages, read on 23 October 2026: a 60-day return that must reach its office by day 60, one free resize, and a "Forever" plan whose terms state 35 years.

On 23 October 2026, Clean Origin's service-plan page described the plan as protection "forever", and the plan's own terms stated that its coverage period is 35 years. The same pages put five different day counts on five clauses: 14, 30, 60 (twice, from different start points) and 100.
Its return page gives 60 days, starting "on the day your order is ready for delivery or pickup", with Clean Origin covering return shipping for all product returns. The refund goes to the original payment method or to store credit, whichever you prefer, with two exceptions the page states: loose natural diamonds bought without a setting can be returned for store credit only, and custom orders can be returned for store credit only. Exchanged or resized orders are final sale, and previously returned orders are treated as exchanges.
In short:
One complimentary resize, within 60 days of the original shipment date, for US customers on standard ring styles, with free shipping both ways, per its resizing page. Canadian customers get a resizing credit of up to CA$100 on a receipt. The page says the offer is void if the ring has been altered or resized by any jeweler other than Clean Origin, that resizing can take 1 to 3 weeks, and that some designs, eternity bands among them, cannot be resized.
Note the two clocks. The return window runs from the day the order is ready for delivery or pickup; the free resize runs from the original shipment date. Both are 60 days long and they do not start on the same day. A resized order is then final sale, so using the free resize closes the return window in practice.
The plan page lists 14 services in a table. On the rendered page, a standard purchase carries 3 of them: free shipping for repairs, the branded box and the 60-day returns. The plan adds the other 11: an annual inspection, annual ring resizing, head replacement, clasp, chain and earring-back repairs, tightening all stones, retipping prongs, reshanking up to half the shank, setting repairs and cleaning, polishing and rhodium plating.
It can be bought up to 30 days after the piece is received, one plan per item, and is priced by the jewelry's price: $150 for $500 to $999, $275 for $1,000 to $2,499, $350 for $2,500 to $4,999, $450 for $5,000 to $9,999, $500 for $10,000 or above, and not offered under $500. The page says it does not cover theft or loss and does not cover the center stone, and points to the insurance offered at checkout through Zillion.
The plan page's opening says it "helps you protect your purchase forever". Its terms and conditions, on the same page, say the coverage period begins on the purchase date "and is for 35 years". The cancellation clause uses the same figure: after the first 100 days, which carry a refund of the full plan price less repairs, a cancellation gets a pro rata refund based on a term of 35 years, less claims paid and a 10% administrative fee, with 90% of the price earned at the end of year 31 and no refund due after year 31. We report the two statements and do not say which a buyer should rely on; if "forever" matters to your purchase, ask Clean Origin to confirm the term in writing.
Screenshot the return, resizing and plan pages on the day you order. Three clocks run from three different starts: the 60-day return from the day the order is ready for delivery or pickup, the 60-day free resize from the original shipment date, and the plan's purchase window of 30 days from delivery. A return also has to reach Clean Origin's office by day 60, and you have 14 days from the return code to ship it.
The warranty page is a different instrument. It guarantees the jewelry "free from manufacturing defects at the time of delivery" for life, with Clean Origin covering shipping on warrantied repairs. You email the order number and clear photographs, and the team reviews whether the issue falls under the warranty. It excludes normal wear, discoloration from chemicals or pools, prong wear and the loss of a stone from everyday damage, covers only original and unaltered products, and is voided by work from another jeweler.
In this site's lab-grown price basket, the cheapest Clean Origin stone matching the spec on 23 October 2026 was a 1.15 ct round for $360, from 273 stones that matched. The basket spec was limited to stones with an IGI report. The loose-stone store-credit rule on the return page names natural diamonds, and we did not find a separate lab-grown clause on the pages read. For the words jewelers use about lab-grown stones, and the rule they are measured against in 16 CFR Part 23, see the FTC wording check.
To set these terms beside four other jewelers, see the five-jeweler return and resize comparison, and for comparable reads see the Whiteflash and Ritani policy pages.
On 23 October 2026, in a desktop browser, we read the text of four Clean Origin support pages: return policy, resizing policy, Forever Service Plan and warranty, and copied the stated numbers and conditions. The plan table's checked and unchecked markers are not in the page text, so we read them on the rendered page. We did not place an order, start a return or contact customer service, and we have not tested how Clean Origin applies any clause. Where two statements differ we say so and do not pick one. Policies change, so read the live page before you buy. Next review: January 2027.
Its return page, read 23 October 2026, gives 60 days from the day the order is ready for delivery or pickup, with Clean Origin paying return shipping. Returns must reach its office by the 60th day, need a return authorization code, and must be shipped within 14 days of the code being issued.
Its return page says loose natural diamonds bought without a setting are returnable for store credit only, while natural diamonds bought with a setting are eligible for a full refund to the original payment method. Custom orders are also store credit only.
One complimentary resize within 60 days of the original shipment date, for US customers on standard styles, with free shipping both ways. The page says it is void if another jeweler has altered or resized the ring, and a resized order is final sale under the return page.
The plan page says it protects your purchase "forever", but its terms state that the coverage period "is for 35 years" from the purchase date. It is not renewable or transferable.
Per its price grid, $150 for jewelry from $500 to $999.99, $275 from $1,000 to $2,499.99, $350 from $2,500 to $4,999.99, $450 from $5,000 to $9,999.99 and $500 from $10,000, and it is not offered under $500. It must be bought within 30 days after the piece is received, one plan per item.
Not on the support pages we read. Its return policy is 60 days; the 100 days on those pages is the window in the service plan's terms for cancelling the plan for a refund of the plan price less repairs.
